Toxic Paradoxic Angel
The hotel room was filled with morning light
I never felt so down and so undressed
You said after that long and scary night:
“With you it’s much more fun to be depressed”
You saw in me the Mary Magdalene
And in the Magdalene you saw the Eve
And in the Eve you saw the sinner
But who I really am, you didn't see
I left you in your crazy carousel
Of exes, punishment and hell
The café, dans la rue, I see you now
Your drink, your pills, your cigarette, and how
you hold it, how you inhale, how your eyes
Look far away into the darker skies
You were my toxic paradoxic angel
Your mission was to break and to derange
Your poison was my elixir of change
